Namibian desert

(From ScienceAlert) The Namibian desert stretches all the way to the cost of the Atlantic Ocean, as shown in the beautiful image taken by Stefan Cruysberghs. The ‘sand sea’ has dunes that reach up to 300 metres tall and is largely uninhabited by humans. Due to its isolation, the desert is suspected to be home to more endemic species than anywhere else in the world.
